The movie is a circumquel (happens partly before and after the former movie's end) to 2013' movie Vishwaroopam.

The movie takes up from where the first ended. The Dirty Bomb planned attack on New York City by Al-Quada terrorist Omar Qureshi was destroyed by an Indian Intelligence Bureau Agent, Wisam through investigation. While Omar and Salim have escaped from New York to India, Wisam was given the responsibility to kill Omar along with his co-terrorists. In the process, Wisam's past comes into fruition.

    Parathasarathi Srinivasan professionally known as Kamal Haasan, is an Indian politician, film actor, dancer, film director, screenwriter, producer, playback singer and lyricist who works primarily in Tamil cinema. Haasan was born on 7 November 1954 in a Hindu family, to a lawyer and a housewife. He received his primary education in Paramakudi and continued his education in Santhome, Madras. He started his career as a child artist in the 1960 Tamil language film Kalathur Kannamma. After a seven-year hiatus from films, Kamal returned to the industry as a dance assistant, apprenticing under choreographer Thankappan. He went on to assist Thankappan in films such as Annai Velankani (1971) and Kasi Yathirai (1973). His first full-fledged role came in K. Balachander's Tamil film Arangetram (1973). In 1974, he played his first lead role in the Malayalam film, Kanyakumari. In 2018, Kamal formally launched his political party, Makkal Needhi Maiam.

He has also appeared in Hindi films such as Pyaar Ke Side Effects, Maan Gaye Mughal-e-Azam, Jhankaar Beats, Kucch Luv Jaisaa, Chameli and Shaurya.

    Hats off to Kamal Haasan, no one till now has taken an Espionage movie like Viswaroopam which explains the Int'l politics very honestly and boldly. Kamal Haasan has a great knowledge of the world we live in. An honest example of "Think globally, act locally".
